I live on a small farmette in SW Wisconsin. Currently, we have a horse, a pony, a cat, 2 German Shepard’s. My husband and I have been married 39 years and worked hard to finally live our dream of making our home in the country. As I am retired due to physical problems, I still work part time, do my best to take care of our place and our animals. My passions are riding, fishing, swimming and of course writing.

The story is a collection of memories told to me by my mother. Since her mother wrote of her life, I decided to write my own story. My mother’s stories of her childhood intrigued me and I wanted to record them the best I could remember. I added my own stories to the best of my memory which in turn got what happened to him as a boy and how we met. Together we faced many happy times, heartaches, trials and tribulations.
